Anna Soubry has written to every member of Broxtowe Borough Council asking them not to agree a target for new houses before consulting with residents. Broxtowe has said it will build unto 6,000 houses and to achieve that target thousands will be built on Broxtowe's green belt land. Broxtowe Borough Council meets tomorrow evening and the Conservatives have submitted a motion calling on the Council to reject the target and continue to protect the Boroughs green belt land.

Anna Soubry has delivered a petition from more than seven hundred supporters of The Foresters pub in Newthorpe to the leader of Broxtowe Borough Council, Milan Radulovic. The pub is under threat of demolition after the owners, Greene King, submitted a plan to the Council, to knock it down and build houses.
