The latest in the series of blue plaques being positioned in southern Broxtowe commemorates the site of the former Beeston Lads' Club and its founder Stephen Hetley Pearson. It is on the Station Road wall of Tesco, Beeston.
The Friends of College House Junior School are holding a Fireworks Night at the school on Cator Lane, Chilwell, to raise funds for new school equipment- this year audio-visual equipment for the hall.
Kimberley Primary School's annual Fireworks display will be taking placr with a BBQ, cake stall, tombola, refreshemnts and other stalls such as jewellery.
The fireworks will be lit on the school field at 7:00pm.
To mark the official opening of the revamped Knowle Park there will be free community sports events happening from 3.30pm until 5.00pm for children of any ages to take part in.
