Anna Soubry MP has written to Education Secretary, Justine Greening, in response to a Department for Transport consultation on proposed changes to school funding. Anna wrote to all Head Teachers in Broxtowe to ask for their views on the proposals and their responses were also forwarded.

03.12.16 - A petition calling for permanent speed cameras on the A52 has been launched by Bramcote resident Tony Smith following the death of two young men in a horrific collision.

Broxtowe Borough Council is running a consultation on the above until Friday 3rd February on The Toton and Chilwell Neighbourhood Forum’s application & area plan.

Anna Soubry MP has praised campaigners in Stapleford after Bargain Booze pulled out of plans to move the towns Post Office in to its shop in the town. Borough Councillor Adam Stockwell launched a petition to stop the move and hundreds of residents signed it.

Schools throughout Broxtowe have done well in this years GCSE and A levels. For some it was their best set of results. Here are the overall stats. Well done to everyone - pupils, staff, parents and carers. My thanks to our schools for providing my team with their results.

There have been a concerning number of serious accidents along Chilwell and High Road in recent months. I have written to Cllr Jon Collins, Leader of Nottingham City Council about the dangerous route along this strech of road.
