Tram works in Beeston will cause extensive and even more congestion and jams until September 1st. In a statement issued today NET has announced the following.

24 hour lane closures on University Boulevard/Queen’s Road Junction due to tramworks:

Monday 25th August to Friday 29th August -- You will only be able to turn left from Queen’s Road towards Woodside Road. The rest of the junction will be reduced to single-lane traffic.

8pm Friday 29th August til 5am Monday 1st September -- There will be no access whatsoever to and from Queen’s Road. University Boulevard to Woodside Road will be single-lane traffic.
