Broxtowe MP Anna Soubry has welcomed revised plans from developers looking to build homes and new sports and social facilities in Beeston Rylands.
“The original plans from the developers featured a two storey licensed social club on Trent Vale Sports Ground. I met residents who opposed the idea though we were all for better sporting facilities to benefit everyone in the Rylands. I represented residents’ views to the developers and I am very pleased that they have amended their plans. Crucially, this sports building will not be a social club and it will not have a bar.”
A planning application has now been submitted to Broxtowe Borough Council with a new social club by Beeston Station and for a smaller sports club on the Trent Vale site with changing rooms and squash courts.
“I am pleased the developers have listened to my representations and the many comments from Rylands residents” said Anna. The planning application will be considered by Broxtowe Borough Council in the next few months.
