Stapleford Library has re opened after a complete refurbishment and renovation. Anna Soubry MP joined the Mayors of Broxtowe and Stapleford at the ceremony – along with hundreds of Stapleford library users. The popular Library where Anna holds regular surgeries, has been out of commission for more than a year. The project was initiated by Notts County Council when it was run by the Conservatives.
Hundreds of thousands of pounds have been spent on the project including more books and better internet access.
Anna said “It is fabulous place for young and old, the serious student and the casual browser. Stapleford will be proud to have a Library that is fit for purpose. The decor and the lighting is especially striking – there are no gloomy corners and I look forward to resuming my surgeries in the Stapleford Library”.
