Broxtowe MP Anna Soubry today met with two year 9 pupils from George Spencer Academy in Parliament. Sophia Buxton and Eva Drummond are ‘champions’ of the Send My Friend to School Campaign which calls on the Government to increase the proportion of international aid going into education.
Anna said “this is an excellent campaign that Sophia and Eva are involved in, which highlights why investing in international aid is so important. Advancing education in particular helps promote tolerance in future generations, which ultimately leads to a more secure, stable and peaceful world”.
The campaign is led by young people across the UK, with 2000 schools signed up to the campaign already.
