Matt Hancock MP, the Business Minister visited SMS in Beeston to announce a £3 million funding deal to improve the sterilisation of medical devices. The money will go to a consortium, which includes SMS, and will lead to more jobs at the electronics firm. SMS goes from strength to strength; they recently announced plans to resurrect the ZX Spectrum computer. Matt also visited to pay tribute to the businesses success. Matt toured the factory with Broxtowe MP, Anna Soubry.
“Employment continues to grow and great local businesses like SMS are now experiencing a real upturn in orders. They have 11 apprentices at SMS and I am proud to have supported them as their MP” said Anna.
