Anna Soubry MP will be speaking at a public meeting this Sunday to discuss Toton’s future.
South Broxtowe 20/20, a new group to support positive development at Toton Sidings, is holding a public meeting at The Greenwood Community Centre, Toton, 2:00pm-4:00pm on Sunday 26th January.
Speaking ahead of the meeting the group said, “We will be providing information about our current campaign along with details of how you can get involved and make your views heard. Whether you live in Toton, Stapleford, Long Eaton, Bramcote or Chilwell the current plans for the land off Stapleford Lane concern you so come along.”
Anna added, “Broxtowe Borough Council’s decision to allow a minimum of 500 houses at Toton is very foolish. The developers’ plans are far from the specialised scheme we need to maximise the economic benefits HS2 can deliver and I am not convinced Broxtowe Borough Council should remain as the planning authority for such an important and invaluable project.”
