Anna Soubry visited the City Hospital spending time with the NHS Charity, Radiotherapy Department and the Stroke Unit. Anna also heard about a great new scheme to help older frail patients prepare for operations.
The visit was prompted at a meeting with constituents about the Stroke Unit which some say is in need of updating. Anna also visited the Radiotherapy Unit “my mother was a radiologist and worked for 40 years in the NHS. I think she would be amazed at the huge technological advances made in the treatment of cancer” said Anna.
The NHS Charity is a long standing organisation providing extra facilities and support. “it is a mark of how much people love and appreciate the NHS that hundreds of thousands of pounds are given every year.”
