Anna Soubry, Member of Parliament for Broxtowe, has nominated Haveli Restaurant in Chilwell for Parliament’s prestigious Tiffin Cup competition.
The competition, organised by Leicester MP Keith Vaz, aims to find the best South Asian restaurant in the country. MP’s nominate a restaurant from their constituency and ten regional winners are invited to a cook-in final in Parliament.
Anna nominated Haveli last year, the first time a nomination had been received from Broxtowe and Haveli achieved joint second place in the final.
Speaking of her nomination, Anna said:
“I entered Haveli last year for the first time, when the restaurant had barely been open a year, and they came second against some of the best Indian and South Eastern restaurants in the UK.
Their food really is delicious, and I am hopeful that, once again, they will win the East Midlands nomination and earn the opportunity to compete in the competition in Parliament.”
