Speaking following the Chancellor’s Autumn statement, Anna Soubry, Member of Parliament for Broxtowe, has welcomed the announcement to improve the A453 as one of 35 rail and road schemes around the country.
Anna said, “This is great news for Greater Nottingham. Congratulations to the team effort led by the Conservatives on Notts County Council in bringing people of all political persuasions together.”
Anna added, “After years of talking, I am delighted that a Tory led Government has finally given the go ahead to widening and improving the A453. It will undoubtedly be the boost we need to bring growth and jobs throughout greater Nottingham including Broxtowe. It will be particularly good for the Enterprise Zone on the Boots site in Beeston.”
