Anna Soubry MP responds to Green Belt consultation

Broxtowe MP Anna Soubry has written to Broxtowe Borough Council in response to their ‘Core Strategy’ consultation.

The Core Strategy proposes thousands of houses on Broxtowe’s Green Belt land, including a minimum of 500 houses on Green Belt land in the vicinity of the proposed HS2 hub station at Toton.

Anna Soubry said, “The Council’s plan is unsound and I have grave concerns over the consultation process: the consultation response forms are difficult to understand, the language used is technical and there has been limited publicity about the entire process.”
