Anna Soubry MP requests meeting to solve Attenborough Station Car Parking problem

Anna Soubry MP has written to Cllr Kevin Greaves, Chair of Transport and Highways at Nottinghamshire County Council; East Midlands Trains and Network Rail to request an urgent meeting to resolve the substantial parking problems in the roads surrounding Attenborough Railway Station.

At Anna’s recent advice surgery in Attenborough,  a number of residents attended to raise their concerns about the impact that inconsiderate and illegal parking is having on the village.

Speaking of the problem, Anna said:

“Everyone in Attenborough agrees that we want people to continue to use the Railway Station, but at the same time we need to stop commuters turning the village into a car park. I believe that there are imaginative ways to deal with this problem without penalising those who use the station responsibly.”
