Anna Soubry, Member of Parliament for Broxtowe and Defence Minister, has paid tribute on Remembrance Day to those who have sacrificed their lives in wars and conflicts.
Anna attended the Remembrance Sunday service in Beeston, laying a wreath at the town’s war memorial, followed by a church service attended by hundreds of constituents. Similarly, in her position as Minister for Veterans, Anna attended Saturday’s Cenotaph ceremony for the War Widows Association and today’s Armistice ceremony in Whitehall.
Speaking of Remembrance day, Anna said:
“We have seen many more people attending various events to remember the fallen and wounded in recent years.
As we begin withdrawal from Afghanistan next year, I very much hope that we will continue to see more people paying their respects and giving their thanks for the sacrifice of our brave service personnel”.
