The local Beeston Greening Campaign has beaten strong competition to win a grant of £5,050 from Climate East Midlands for a community renewable energy project in Beeston, which includes expert support from Nottingham Energy Partnership. The funding will help identify and develop a community renewable energy site, in consultation with Beeston residents. Now the group is bidding for money to buy the renewable energy technology through the Energyshare scheme. MP Anna Soubry congratulated the Campaign and urged Beeston residents to register their support for the project by 30th June. “I hope people will register their support at will give Beeston Greening a good chance of getting through to the next round of the energyshare scheme.”. ,this
