Beacons will be lit across the Constituency at Kimberley, Moorgreen, Bramcote, Awsworth and Stapleford. Please read on for more details...

Cemetary Chapel, Kimberley: There will be hot food and folk musicians from 9:00pm-11:00pm with the beacon being lit at 10:15pm. 

South Broxtowe Jubilee Beacon in Common Lane, Bramcote: The local scouts and guides, supported by several local organisations  are organising a jazz band, entertainment, bar, food and a bonfire at the Scout Campsite, Common Lane, Bramcote, NG9 3DT from 8:30pm onwards. The Beacon will be lit near Bramcote Village at 10:15pm followed by fireworks. The event is free.

The Deputy Lord Lieutenant for Broxtowe, Lawrence Coppel and his wife will also attend the event.

Limited car parking is available but visitors are encouraged to walk to the event if at all possible. Bring a chair or a rug.

Supporting organisations include: Bramcote Hills Community Association, Beeston & District Civic Society, Hemlockstone Lions, Bramcote Tower Group & Conservation Society, Bramcote History Group, St Michael's Parish Church, Helping Hands Church Group, The Univeristy of Nottingham, East Midlands Airport, Broxtowe Borough Council and Nottinghamshire County Council.

Sandy Lane Open Space, Bramcote: From 4:00pm onwards, people are being encouraged to bring your picnic and the kids to enjoy the celebrations of the Friends of Bramcote View's Diamond Jubilee celebrations at the Alexandrina Plantation, Bramcote which is accessible via Markham Road or Sandgate.

There'll be traditional games, craft workshops and a nature treasure hunt on offer, as well as the burying of a time capsule, a tree planting and the lighting of a Jubilee beacon later in the evening.

Friends of Bramcote View was established as a group from parents planning a simple tea party for their children to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
