Why I'm supporting Anna Soubry MP

An impassioned endorsement from a local business owner as to why Anna Soubry should remain Broxtowe's Member of Parliament:

My name is Nick Jones owner of Humber Road Chippy in Beeston.

I've been very badly affected by the tram related roadworks. After many sleepless nights and at my wits end I decided to contact My MP. I wrote an email and sent it just after 8 o'clock on a Sunday morning. To my surprise within 20 minutes Anna had replied in person offering help, support and empathy.

Two days later Anna had successfully made possible a high level meeting with tram officials and by the Friday my issues were being addressed. I was also listening to the radio one morning and Anna was being interviewed regarding the Tram Works. I felt very humbled to hear Anna mentioning how my Chippy was suffering. This made me feel that I am not alone in my fight to keep my business running. Without Anna's intervention I dread to think where I'd be now.

I cannot thank her enough.

During the tram construction I've been very impressed by the work of Anna and her team.

Being from a non-political background I've tarred everyone with the same brush and wrongly assumed MP's do a lot of talking with no action. I couldn't be further from the truth from my recent experience. I have nothing but high regard for Anna after my experience. I feel very safe that if I encounter any problems in the future I can contact Anna for help and support, not only for myself but for others in my community after having this first hand experience.

I'm ashamed to say I've always voted Labour without really thinking into why. This election I'm voting for Anna because I need an MP who will stand up for people like myself, an MP who will stick up for people in our community & an MP I'm proud to say represents Broxtowe.
